The Pillars of Urban:Sean John

The urban community or the hip hop nation is very particular when it comes to clothing. Style and fashion are what the nation is built upon, which is why the community is very specific with fashion that pertains to clothing lines. Now there’s a lot of clothing lines that can provide a way to be included on the growing community of the urban nation, and among those many clothing lines are the sean john clothing lines. The sean john is a clothing line that is well respected as the number one clothing line when it comes to urban and hip hop community. It has helped us discover our true nature with its designs of clothing lines. The sean john is a clothing line that was founded in 1998 by the hip hop mogul himself, Sean Combs also know as Diddy.

Apart from being an American record producer, CEO, actor, and rapper, Sean Combs is also a talented clothing designer whom designed the sean john clothing line. The name sean john was derived from Sean Combs first name which is Sean and second name which is John. Many respectable and renowned personalities have represented the sean john such as rappers T.I., Fabolous, The Game, basketball star Dwyane Wade, and models Tyson Beckford and Kevin Navayne, and Sean Combs himself have made the sean john popular. And on 2006, the sean john also released its first ever fragrance for men called the Unforgivable that was manufactured by Estée Lauder, one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of skin care, cosmetics, perfume and hair care products.
Although the sean john clothing line is very popular among the urban and hip hop community, it still suffered some allegations. In October 2003 P. Diddy was under intense media attention for using sweatshop labor to produce the sean john clothing line. Among the accusations, originally put forth by the National Labor Committee (NLC), workers were subjected to body searches, fired if pregnant and paid sweatshop wages. Diddy responded to the BBC that there would be a "zero tolerance" investigation at his company, Sean John. He stated to a group of reporters "I'm as pro-worker as they get." In late 2006, after allegations of raccoon dog fur being used in two styles of jackets, sean john, together with Macy's, pulled all of the garments from the department stores where this product was shipped. Even though sean john experienced such accusations, it still stands as the top most popular urban clothing line among the urban community
