Laser Liposculpture - Laser Liposuction is Better for Body Sculpting

Laser body sculpting or laser liposculpture is a new term used to describe fat removal and skin tightening achieved with the new laser liposuction technique for body contouring. I use the new Aspire® SlimLipo® laser liposuction machine made by Palomar Medical in Burlington, Massachusetts to perform laser body contouring or laser body sculpting. The results I have achieved using the SlimLipo® laser liposculpture technique have been very exciting.

Body Contouring

The term “body contouring” has been use in Plastic Surgery to refer to procedures designed to improve the general appearance of the body shape. Traditionally body contouring has been used to describe breast augmentation, tummy tuck, thigh and buttock lift and arm lift and other surgical procedures. The problem for many people is the scarring associated with surgery as in the tummy tuck. Liposculpture


With the advent and popularization of liposuction, the term liposculpture or liposuction body contouring was used to describe the use of liposuction to improve body contour with the use of liposuction as opposed to surgical procedures which required skin removal.


While I have been reluctant to use the term body sculpture to describe some of the results achieved with traditional liposuction, the results I am achieving with the new Aspire® SlimLipo® laser liposuction unit are truly refined and worthy of the use of the term laser liposculpture or laser body sculpting.

Notice in the pictures below the appearance of the neck and jawline after laser liposculpture for a double chin and a small chin implant. Using the SlimLipo® procedure I was able to melt fat and tighten skin so that the contour of neck is sleek and tight. This type of result was impossible using traditional liposuction and or abdominoplasty surgery. The term laser liposculpture certainly is appropriate in this case.
